Joined Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 1977; served as Deputy Director General of Minister’s Secretariat for Science and Technology Policy (2004-06); and for Industrial Technology at METI (2003-04). Joined Sumitomo Chemical Co. Ltd. after retirement and served as Senior Associate for Energy and Climate Change office and later as Chairman (2016 – 2018). Presently, Innovation Promotion Coordinator of the SIP “Energy Systems of an Internet of Energy (IoE) society,”; and a freelance expert on hydrogen energy and fuel ammonia.
